All along the eastern seaboard, especially throughout the Northeast, the saltbox cottage with its flat front and central chimney more than holds its own next to new and much larger mansions. This house is completely covered in western red cedar and features white-washed windows and corner posts. When placed outdoors, the cedar shakes will weather and patina to a silvery gray. This functional birdhouse has a wall in the center separating two nest boxes.
